Reception for "Contemporary Anti-Muslim Politics: Aggression and Exclusion"
The University of Saint Joseph will host a book celebration for Dr. Kenneth Long’s, most recent publication, Contemporary Anti-Muslim Politics: Aggression and Exclusion on Tuesday, March 7 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Mercy Hall, Crystal Room, First Floor.
Contemporary Anti-Muslim Politics provides a succinct but potent critique of the policies of Western nations toward Muslims, particularly the aggressive foreign policies of the United States and the exclusionary domestic policies of Europe.
Dr. Long is Professor of History and Political Science. He has guest-lectured in Austria, China, Sweden, and at several major American universities. He is the author of numerous journal articles and of the 2009 book, The Trouble with America. This latest book is the culmination of research began while he was on a 2012 Fulbright at Johannes Kepler University in Austria.
The program will take place from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Free and open to the public, but please rsvp so that we can plan accordingly. Contact Christina Flood at [email protected] or 860.231.5888.
