Moving the Dream Forward: USJ Celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Be a part of USJ’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Program.

USJ will hold its annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Program on Monday, January 23, 2017. The program, entitled Moving the Dream Forward, will include two guest speakers throughout the day.

First, Stacey Close, Ph.D., associate vice president for Equity and Diversity at Eastern Connecticut State University will offer remarks from 12:00–1:00 p.m. From 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., guest speaker Tyrone Black, Ed.D., director of Student Advancement at Wooster School, will address attendees. In addition to the speakers, the programs will include music, dance, poetry, and spoken word.

Both the afternoon and evening programs will be held at the Connor Chapel of Our Lady.

This program is open to the community, free of charge.
