Did you know that this is Interfaith World Harmony Week?

The Charter for Compassion is hosting a series of webinars this week and throughout the month of February on the topic of interfaith harmony. They are free, but registration is required. Why not check out the website for details? https://www.charterforcompassion.org/world-interfaith-harmony-week-schedule

Here is a meditation for educators from the national Charter for Compassion. It would be amazing if this were on every office door, in every classroom, and in the heart of every member of the USJ community:

Dear undocumented students,

In this classroom, there are no walls. You belong here.

You are loved.

Dear black students,

In this classroom, YOUR life matters.

You are loved.

Dear Muslim students and students of Middle Eastern descent,

We know you are not terrorists.

You are loved.

Dear Mexican students,

You are not rapists or drug dealers.

You are loved.

Dear female students,

Men cannot grab you. Men WILL respect you – demand it.

You are loved.

Dear LBGTQ students,

You are perfect just as you are.

You are loved.

Dear ALL students,

We will get through this day, this year, together.
We will respect each other and learn from each other.

You are a beloved part of this country and this community.
