Art Museum, USJ Presents: A Creative Colony in the Catskills: Visual Artists and Woodstock, New York
Since the nineteenth century Woodstock, NY has been the permanent or seasonal home of a wide variety of artists, many of whom were associated with the summer school of New York City’s Art Students’ League. This exhibition is drawn from the Art Museum’s permanent collection with the addition of some private loans. Artists represented in the exhibition include Milton Avery, Georgina Klitgaard, Fletcher Martin, Jehudith Sobel, Deane Keller and many more.

The Art Museum, located in Bruyette Athenaeum on USJ’s West Hartford campus at 1678 Asylum Avenue, is open Tuesday - Saturday: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Thursday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.; closed Monday.
Admission is free of charge.
